WELCOME TO MORGAN COUNTY !

     Morgan County was originally established as Cotaco County on
     February 8, 1818 with the county seat located in Somerville. The
     county was renamed Morgan in 1821, after Revolutionary War
     hero Daniel Morgan. The county seat was relocated to Decatur in
     1891.

     We hope this website will be both helpful and informative to the
     citizens of Morgan County. Please contact us with any suggestions
